FITC Tokyo 2009

トロント、シカゴ、ハリウッド、韓国、アムステルダムのイベントで成功を収めたFITCが、いよいよFITC Tokyo 2009で日本に上陸します。デザインとアートの技術を限界まで試したり、その限界を模索したり、更には壊して一から作りなおしたり。デザイナーや技術者は、ツールの本来の目的を乗り越えるためにどのように現状を打破しているのか。望みどおりのものを手に入れるためにどのように代替方法を見つけるのか。陳腐化しないためにどのように新境地を開いていくのか、新しいアイデアやコンセプトの誕生を是非、ご自身の目で確かめてください。

After having successfully held events in Toronto, Chicago, Hollywood, Korea, and Amsterdam, FITC makes its first appearance in Japan with FITC Tokyo 2009. Explore the creation of NEW ideas and concepts, where the limits of technology in design and art can be experimented with, explored, and then broken and reinvented. Learn how designers and technologist are pushing limits that go beyond what their tools are designed to do, how they find alternate ways to get what they want, and push the boundaries of what is possible to avoid mediocrity.

FITCというイベントをご存知でしたか?

FITCは、世界4か国9都市において8年間で18回のイベントを開催し、700を超えるプレゼンテーションを提供するとともに1万人を超える参加者を動員しました。Flashを始め、モーションデザイン、デザインやコンセプトのアイデア、その他Flex、Air、processing などの技術まで、FITCのイベントは、知識、刺激、を与えてくれるユニークでエキサイティングなイベントとして存在します。当初Flashフェスティバルとして始まったイベントは、Flashを中心に据えながらも、常にプログラムの内容を広げながら、多様なプレゼンテーションを年月をかけて増やしてきました。

New to FITC events?

FITC has held 18 events over eight years, through nine cities and four countries, with over 700 presentations and over 10,000 attendees. From Flash to motion design, to design and creative inspiration, to other technologies like Flex, Air and processing, FITC events stand as unique and exciting events that educate, challenge, and inspire. We began as a Flash festival, and we’ve kept Flash at the core but we have also continued to add more and more diverse presentations over the years, ever expanding the programming of our events.
