Career Opportunities Available in the New Media Industry

Over 10 Interactive agencies and career placement firms will be in attendance including: Aquent, Critical Mass, Creative Niche, The Creative Group, Firstborn, Fuel Industries, Grip, Grow Interactive, henderson bas and Relish. An intimate and informal setting allows attendees to meet face-to-face with prospective employers and find out how their respective companies work.
“Despite the downturn in the economy, there are still jobs available in the new media sector,” says Shawn Pucknell, Founder of FITC. “Skilled, qualified grads are always at a premium -- even more so now that marketing dollars are shifting to the Web.”
New media is counted among the knowledge-based industries that will pave the way for continued job creation, sustained growth, and the expansion of trade in the global market. The sector includes individuals and teams working in 3D, advertising, animation, game design, motion graphics, rich media. Web design and video.
The event also includes on-stage presentations by agency reps as well as career advice from this year’s guest presenter -- mutlimedia consultant and developer, Mario Klingemann (aka Quasimondo).
